Strap
This work stems from research on cork. By analyzing its properties and the contexts in which these could be best applied, we proposed a solution and design that aligns with what this material conveys and offers.
We find ourselves in a changing society, where new habits and practices transform our daily lives. At work, spaces also change and must adapt to these new needs that, over time, settle into what is understood as everyday life.
Strap is a simple design that seeks to visualize the material’s simplicity by playing with its structure to enhance and make the most of the cork sheets. It is based on what we have called Ephemeral Comfort in the work; it presents the possibility of creating new spaces dedicated to rest without the need for them to be permanent, thus providing these spaces with greater freedom and flexibility.
