Aro
Aro is a project born in response to the volcanic eruption on the island of La Palma (Gran Canaria). A company specializing in gas sensors approached us to design and manufacture a device to detect potential gas leaks and condensations in the homes of the island’s residents.
With its minimalist design, the sensor is created to interfere as little as possible with domestic decor, steering away from the typical engineering devices filled with numerous folds, buttons, and contour lines.
The two gas inlets are seamlessly integrated into the design, as are the light rings, which are essential both for alerting and for enhancing the device's presence within the space. These light rings serve to notify homeowners of gas detections.
